Sparkling Shiraz
Wine
Best's Sparkling Shiraz was first made in the early 1900s. Synonymous with the Great Western region, it was re-introduced in 2006 after an almost 20 year absence.
The fruit is picked early, fermented in vats and sees minimal oak. The resultant base wine is left on yeast lees in bottle for 20 months or more. It is then disgorged in the traditional way.
The dosage liqueur used for the wine contains a small quantity of aged Best's Liqueur Muscat, which provides an extra layer of interest.
Inky dark purple, Best's Sparkling Shiraz is opulent with plush fruit flavours. Its fine bead delivers a long, persistent finish. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
